Job Profile

The company is looking for a Heavy Assembler who will assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, subassemblies, assemblies, and complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.

Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements, and repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Up to 1 year of relevant work experience

License/Certification

  • Applicable Torque certification from Arcosa

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply appropriate torque sequence and values
  • Attach complex sub-assemblies or parts with appropriate hardware
  • Insert or attach sub-assemblies with appropriate hardware
  • Maintain attendance within acceptable standards.
  • Operate mobile equipment
  • Read and follow complex instructions

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and hardware (i.e., bolts, nuts), ability to read and follow written instructions, electrical wiring experience, and the ability to match up sub-assembly to the final product
  • Read, write, and speak proficiently in English

Work Environment

  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
  • Be able to bend, twist, and work out of normal working positions throughout the shift
  • Be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds frequently
  • May require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Work environment includes the plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas, and the plant grounds.
