Job Profile

The company (TrinityRail) is hiring a Heavy Assembler who will prepare and apply insulation to tank cars using spray on glue.

Educational Qualification

  • Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is beneficial
  • Previous experience in the rail or steel manufacturing industry (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply appropriate torque sequence and values (certified)
  • Be involved in safety committees or initiatives, as needed
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Must tack weld
  • Operate overhead cranes (certified)
  • Performs error testing
  • Read blueprints
  • Utilize hand tools to bend or form parts
  • Utilize mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to work on heights and top of a tank car
