Job Profile
The company is looking for a Heavy Duty Mechanic who will perform a variety of tasks related to the safe and efficient application of the technical skills and knowledge of a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- Experience working in a fleet shop
- Cummins and Cat engine experience
- Welding experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain industrial equipment such as Log loaders, Wheel Loaders, Forklifts, and other mobile equipment used in the manufacture of lumber.
- Continually ensuring the quality and standards of service to safety and production are maintained.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A valid Inter-Provincial or Provincial Journeyperson mechanic certification
- Ability to read manuals and schematics
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Commitment to working safely and creating a safe workplace
- Flexible schedule to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
- Knowledge of Hydraulics
- Organizational and planning skills
- Strong Electrical background
