Job Profile

The company is searching for a Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist who will be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment, including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

• 1+ years of related experience (required)
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engine repairs
• Previous mining experience (a plus)

License/Certification

• Certification from a trade school (preferred)
• Valid US driver’s license
• A CDL and a clean driving record

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to work safely at all times
• Mechanically inclined with a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment, including CAT, Komatsu, and Volvo quarry/construction equipment/diesel engines
• Weld, cut, and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Bilingual is a plus

Work Environment

• Regularly requires 40+ hours per week in a surface or underground mine setting.
• Frequently operates heavy equipment.
