Job Profile

The company is seeking a Helper who will work under the direction of a foreman, assist skilled workers in performing their assigned duties, and performs a large variety of other duties.

Educational Qualification

• No education level is mentioned, yet having basic education will be a plus

Work Experience

• Preferably 6 months of experience in specified skill

Duties/Responsibilities

• Digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel, touch up paint, pours and spreads concrete, asphalt, gravel, or other materials,
• Handle building materials, fix flats, and change out tires on trailers and mobile equipment,
• Lifts and carries materials such as pipe and fittings throughout the facility,
• Helps with tools and equipment such as welding machine set up, rigging for the crane, tightening headstock, etc.

Qualification Standards

• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Pre-Employment qualification test if applicable
• Job site “Personal Protective Equipment” requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test

Physical Demands

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level.
• Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
• Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials.
• Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
• Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, or overhead, carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.
• Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, crawling, seeing with or without correction, hearing with or without correction

Mental Involvement

• Following set procedures and standards.
• Applying basic mathematical skills.
• Planning work and select proper tools.
• Comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
• Following oral or written directions, reading, and writing, ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
