Job Profile
The company is hiring an HVAC/Changeout (Welder)-Technician who will install/retrofit new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (duct and equipment) in commercial and industrial settings, read and interpret blueprints and specifications, and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-year Technical Degree in a related field (preferred)
- EPA Certification (preferred)

- 1-2 years of experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Completes quoted projects and demand service calls while maintaining profitability. Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Installs and performs retrofits of HVAC systems with intermediate to expert knowledge of piping or sheet metal tradecrafts.
- Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicles.
- Participates in after-hours quoted projects (as needed) per customer requirements.
- Performs sub-contractor management on quoted projects.
- Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring/testing equipment.
- Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer as evidenced by past driving performance record. Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.
- Types of equipment include split systems, mini split systems, VRF multizone systems, RTUS, WSHP, self-contained systems, CRAC units, air-cooled chillers, airside equipment, AHUs, and exhaust fans of all types.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Intermediate/Expert skills in control troubleshooting, wiring diagram interpretation, and parallel/series circuit design (preferred)
