Job Profile
The company (ThyssenKrupp Crankshaft Co) is seeking an Industrial Electronics Technician who will send e-tech reports to the Electronic Services Group Leader.
Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing plant equipment with electronic components and programming.
Education Level
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics curriculum
Work Experience
- 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting electronic controls in a manufacturing setting
Duties/Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment
- PLC programming
Specific Roles-
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant equipment involving checking voltages, changing out bad components, switching out gauges, as well as making camera and software adjustments
- Program PLCs and diagnose machine faults/failures related to CNC, Servo, AC Motion Controls, and related electronic components
- Research and recommend machine control upgrades to address outdated controls
- Document changes to electrical drawings and generate upgraded drawings
- Prepare daily log reports and document/track the off-shift activity to ensure proper follow-up on machine problems and repairs
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to follow step-by-step procedures
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic algebraic mathematical ability
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written language ability
- Knowledge of electronics
- Knowledgeable in a variety of machine software
- Understanding of schematics and program reading
- Understanding of standard to metric conversions
- Willingness to learn
Working Conditions
- Environmental conditions may include extreme heat, noise, vibration, and atmospheric conditions.
- Hazards may include proximity to moving, mechanical parts, exposure to electrical components, and occasional working in high, exposed places.
- May require reaching, handling, using fingers, frequent climbing, balancing, feeling, repetitive motions, standing, walking, and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and hearing/smelling to perceive sounds or scents that may indicate a malfunction.
