Job Profile
The company is searching for an Industrial Engineer who will function as follows-
- Develop and design equipment to project specifications for the Test department to successfully set up and test all products.
- Optimise Test and Assembly processes and continuous improvement of these by the introduction of new equipment and tooling to ensure best practice is maintained.
- Work with internal departments to ensure materials and equipment are designed and procured for required dates.
Education Level
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent experience
Work Experience
- Proven experience in a Production/Industrial Engineering environment
- Proven experience in screw compressor manufacturing.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Drive EH&S Policy, regulations and Company standards and develop World Class Safety Culture within Operations and Renfrew Factory.
- Ensure that work is carried out following documented instructions and requesting concession applications when non-conformances arise within their Value Stream
- Excellent CAD/CAM knowledge
- Maintaining a high level of machine up-time by providing solutions for thread grinding and milling processes.
- Provide support for Line Management through the timely supply of HPMS files and data for manufacturing processes
- Support direct manager in Future Factory Vision and Clean/Lean program within Renfrew Factory
- Support direct manager in reduction of non-conformance level throughout assembly and manufacturing areas through root cause and corrective action exercises to minimise the cost of poor quality.
- To help and support in the design and manufacture of fixtures
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent PC skills – Microsoft Office and CAM programming experience
- Familiar with precision rotating equipment and relevant specifications.
- Good communication skills
- Involvement in Lean/Continuous improvement initiatives
