Job Profile
The company is seeking an Industrial Engineer II (Welding) who will support and lead the welding activities on multiple lasers and tig welding situations.
Help lead and develop new processes and introduce new technologies to the production line to improve yield, production efficiencies, and reduce cost.
Education Level
- Typically requires a Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
- An Advanced Degree in a related field or the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to work with cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design engineering to implement robust processes.
- Adhere to all Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production standards to ensure processes and machines are within compliance.
- Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment of new machines/processes
- Develop manufacturing processes that apply to statistical process control to ensure compliance and effective production, including Key Characteristics and Key Process Inputs
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and use change control to mitigate risk
- Maintain awareness of the technological state-of-the-art and the Company’s competitive position in the welding area.
- Plan, execute (facilitate), and document relatively simple to moderately difficult engineering economics challenges.
- Provide factory floor support and maintain/improve production processes.
- Provide welding guidance to the support team and production floor to ensure quality processes are followed.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- CORE Apprentice
- General computer and file management skills
- General understanding of business practices and basic safety practices.
- Microsoft Excel-based knowledge and understanding including data analysis and presentation.
- The ability to process new Capital Equipment, such as writing capital funding requests, Statement of Work, and requirement documents.
- Deeper knowledge of NADCAP requirements and compliance activities.
- CORE operating system and framework within the RTX business system.
