Job Profile

The company is hiring an Industrial Machinery Mechanic who will support the manufacturing equipment and building facilities.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates or Technical Certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of related maintenance experience or maintenance education (required)
  • Experience working with a variety of CNC equipment from manufacturers such as FANUC, Haas, Okuma, and others.
  • Forklift or man-lift experience (preferred)
  • Experience with the troubleshooting and programming of PLC controllers is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Deals ethically with Parker’s customers, suppliers, fellow associates, and the general public.
  • Ensures work area and equipment are maintained with 5-S principles.
  • Executes preventative maintenance of equipment and building facilities.
  • Identifies and remediates safety hazards and concerns.
  • Performs building maintenance duties, including, but not limited to, troubleshooting light electrical equipment, carpentry, and plumbing.
  • Requires the use of shop math, complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types of measuring instruments, and precision instruments, along with electrical and electronic devices and programmers used to identify problems on various types of CNC and P.C. controlled machines.
  • Stays up-to-date with related maintenance training of electronic and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoots various types of manufacturing equipment to limit machine downtime.
  • Uses a broad range of hand and machine tools to disassemble and reassemble equipment ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Works with outside contractors to ensure business objectives are met in a timely fashion.
  • Performs the required duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles, always putting our people first.
  • Completes additional duties and projects as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to perform maintenance on trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance, and hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Expert understanding of gauging and measuring devices is required.
  • Intermediate math, verbal, and written skills required including reviewing blueprint drawings and understanding electrical schematics.
