Job Profile

The company is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join its team.

Educational Level

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education (required)
  • Degree in Industrial Maintenance (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform duties assigned by supervisor in a safe, efficient manner with/without accommodation including repairs and routine maintenance on rotating machinery powered by electricity, such as pumps, conveying systems, pipes, heat exchangers, and power transmissions while keeping the supervisor informed of any issues or setbacks
  • Bend, reach, stoop, stand, or walk for extended periods. Ability to work from elevated areas such as ladders, scaffolding, and platforms with fall protection equipment.
  • Ensures a clean and safe work environment to ensure the proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a positive collaborative working relationship with customers and coworkers to support the planning and development of the company’s goals.
  • Must be proficient in using both basic and sophisticated heavy industrial machinery, including forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders. Uses hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to repair and maintain rotating and stationary machinery and equipment. Ability to use hand tools, power tools (such as hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill presses, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging tools daily as required. Additionally, execute welding, when needed.
  • Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment by constructing preventive maintenance standards such as lubricating, monitoring operations, measuring wear, and realigning components to prevent breakdown repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Use of hand and power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, schematics, mathematics, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
  • Working in a setting that emphasizes teamwork and safety while adhering to all company/site safety policies and guidelines

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance needs outside of normal business hours.
  • Applicants will be well-versed in motor controls, drive systems, relay logic troubleshooting, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.
  • Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Own a complete set of standard and metric hand tools.
