Job Profile

The company is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Millwright who will primarily be responsible for the maintenance of the assembly equipment on the Production floor.

Repairs and maintains, troubleshoots, and fabricates in order to keep the operation of equipment running efficiently.

Must be able to work casual overtime and flex hours, independently, and work with a sense of urgency.

Educational Qualification

  • Completion of a Millwright/Mechanical program from a recognized University or College program.

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum 3 years of experience with industrial equipment
  • Related experience in a manufacturing environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to assist with electrical maintenance as required.
  • Ability to fabricate parts and assemblies from blueprints or scratch.
  • Ability to perform MIG and stick welding
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications to determine the layout of industrial equipment installations.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment and keep maintenance records to identify weaknesses in the design.
  • Department support for testing, repairing, and calibrating electric or electronic components.
  • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Evaluate downtime situations for root causes and identify potential risks to similar processes.
  • Maintain pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery.
  • Services, maintains, repairs, installs, and tests new or existing equipment and verifies conformance to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair robots, conveyors, electrical systems, lubrication systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment as well as other related devices to maintain production.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of resistance welding, electrical standards, and the latest safety standards.
