Job Profile

The company is recruiting an Industrial Maintenance Specialist who will ensure the efficient and safe operation of fixed machinery and equipment.

Combines maintenance, welding, and conveyor belt repair responsibilities to support the quarry’s operations.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Welding Certification and proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., Mig, Tig, Stick)

Work Experience

• Proven Experience in Industrial maintenance, welding, and conveyor belt repair, (preferably in a quarry or mining environment)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in procuring spare parts and materials necessary for maintenance, welding, and conveyor belt repair tasks.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and quarry personnel to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, welding, and conveyor belt repair activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and parts inventory.
• Participate in training programs to stay current with maintenance, welding, and conveyor belt repair techniques and equipment advancements.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and welding repairs on fixed machinery and equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, and other quarry equipment.
• Repair and maintain conveyor belts, including splicing and replacing damaged sections to ensure uninterrupted material handling.
• Utilize welding skills to repair and fabricate metal components as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with quarry equipment and processes.
• Technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.
