Job Profile

The company is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to join its stem.

Education Level

  • High School Degree or GED
  • An Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management (preferred, but not required)

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum 5 years of experience in the industrial maintenance or construction fields
  • Experience in planning/scheduling, supervision, and estimating (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning. Communication with all team members to assist the development of short/long-range planning in assist of the company’s goals and objectives
  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to, directing personnel in repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment.
  • Ensure team members perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Ensures compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide mechanical expertise to customer RCA and problem-solving/solutions.
  • Repairs and preventive maintenance are to be performed in conformance with established standards. Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the job. Physical requirements of the job will be provided to you prior to employment.
  • Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner. Accurate administrative duties include but are not limited to, time accounting, work order completion, job planning, ordering materials, workload assessment, and updating/reviewing maintenance management system (CMMS). Allocate resources as required, coordinate shutdowns, contact vendors for plant and maintenance requirements

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Must be able to work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment. Also perform welding, using a cutting torch as required. Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the following topics: industrial mechanical applications/machinery, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, machinery vibration, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

Physical Demands

  • Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time, climb flights of stairs, work from elevated areas, and wear a respirator when required by the job.
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate hand tools and industrial machinery such as a truck or forklift.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk or hear.

Work Environment

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold, wet, or humid conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
