Job Profile
The company is searching for an Industrial Maintenance Technician who will assist in the daily functions of the Maintenance Department.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience in general maintenance
- Significant electrical work experience in repairing or maintaining company equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adjustment of functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
- Carries out preventative maintenance program for all production equipment, mechanical devices, buildings, and land, including maintaining maintenance records and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Contributes to the design and fabrication of production fixtures and racks
- Disassembles machines and repairs and replaces broken parts.
- Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose trouble.
- Interprets blueprints, works from sketches, or verbal instructions
- Keeps work area clean; observes all safety procedures
- Maintains all types of forklifts and keeps them in operating condition
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as hoist motors, pumps, belts, fans, air conditioners, conveyors, etc.
- Uses all types of power tools and hand tools
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work both in a non-temperature-controlled environment and outdoors.
- Basic working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
- Must have a high awareness of safety at all times
- Perform or assist with maintenance tasks according to production needs to minimize downtime.
- Support manufacturing demands including working during non-peak hours (e.g. off shifts, holidays, weekends, etc. as required/assigned.
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
- The ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, welding layouts, schematics, and complex electro-mechanical assembly or erection directions.
- The ability to work in a high-volume, and fast-paced environment
For Highly Qualified
- 5 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- 5 years of previous experience operating a forklift
- 5 years of previous experience with overhead crane operations
- The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
- The ability to recognize hazardous substances and to know basic employee responsibilities for chemical safety
