The company is searching for an Industrial Manufacturing Balancer who will provide excellent support to our production team.

This position reports to the Group Leader of the Wheel Welding Department.

Education Level

• High School Graduate or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Experience with micrometers strongly (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Either the Balancer or a Welder will weld permanent weights in place, as instructed
• Mounts shaft and wheel into machine, installs drive unit, clamps, etc.
• Obtains and maintains a Level II certification for dye penetrant and magnetic particle inspection levels. *Robinson Fans Inc. will provide employees with the necessary training and testing to obtain the certification.
• Operates balancing machine at various speeds and uses static and dynamic tests to determine imbalance, faulty quality, and improper operation of wheel
• Receives job assignments and instructions from the Group Leader for balancing all types and sizes of industrial wheels.
• Takes reading from the machine to determine the location of weights to be added. Add weights by tacking and rerun tests.
• Uses a chipping hammer or grinder to remove flux and spatter
• Uses an overhead crane or jib hoist to move and position wheels in the balancing machines

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to use all balancing units, welding units, power tools, magnetic particle, dye penetrant units, and overhead cranes
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Must take the initiative and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team
