Job Profile
The company is looking for an Industrial Millwright (Red Seal) who will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment in and out of the plant and report the condition of the equipment to the supervisor.
Education Level
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
Work Experience
- A minimum of 3 years related experience
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and experience with Preventative Maintenance programs will be considered assets
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, shafts, etc.
- Cleans up after completing the job.
- Fills out work orders on completion of jobs.
- Maintains a clean working area.
- Maintains equipment for proper operating characteristics.
- May be required to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to for lift trucks, other than propane.
- Notifies the foreman of any job irregularities, faulty equipment, or material.
- Notifies supervisor of any repairs required.
- Observe plant safety rules and regulations.
- Operates machine tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
- Performs all woodworking jobs as required.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspection on equipment and reports.
- Performs steel fabrication as required with or without drawings.
- Plumbing as required.
- Receives work assignments from foreman or production personnel in the event of a breakdown.
- Repair parts, lubricants, steel sections, wood and plastics, foundry resins and catalysts, compressed gas, chloroethane, and So2 gas.
- Troubleshoots mechanical-hydraulic, CNC, and pneumatic equipment.
- Works at various heights performing required maintenance.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of mechanical electrical systems
- Must possess certification for Industrial Millwright (Red Seal)
- Possess strong troubleshooting skills
