Job Profile
The company is seeking an Industrial Millwright (Red Seal) who will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment in and out of the plant and report the condition of the equipment to the supervisor.
Educational Level
- Must possess certification for Industrial Millwright (Red Seal)
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship training program.
Work Experience
- A minimum of 3 years related experience
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and experience with Preventative Maintenance programs will be considered assets
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assembles and aligns gears, bearings, shafts, etc.
- Cleans up after completing a job.
- Fill out work orders on completion of jobs.
- Maintain clean working area to 6S standards.
- Maintain equipment for proper operating characteristics.
- May be required to perform preventative maintenance and repairs for lift trucks, other than propane.
- Notify the foreman of any job irregularities, faulty equipment, or material.
- Notify the supervisor of any repairs required.
- Observe plant safety rules and regulations.
- Operate machine tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
- Participate in Root Cause analysis and corrective action concerning machine repairs
- Perform all woodworking jobs as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspection on equipment and reports.
- Perform steel fabrication as required with or without drawings.
- Plumbing as required.
- Receive work assignments from foreman or production personnel in the event of a breakdown.
- Troubleshoots mechanical-hydraulic, CNC, and pneumatic equipment.
- Work at various heights performing required maintenance.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Possess strong troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of mechanical electrical systems
