The company is seeking an Installation Technician to join its team.

  • No relevant experience (required); training is provided.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply touch-up paint to welded or installed components following all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders
  • Comply with all hazardous material labeling, communications, storage, or disposal that is posted, written, and verbally communicated
  • Correctly install all components according to all work orders or work instructions.
  • Cut as needed using a torch, portable plasma cutter, band saw, or iron worker.
  • Drill bolt holes as required using a drill press, cordless drill, or floor drill following all quality standards,
  • Drive chassis in and around the facility
  • Grind and or buff as needed using an angle grinder.
  • Inspect all work performed by all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders
  • Install and connect electrical harnesses, components, or connections following all quality standards, and work. instructions, and work orders
  • Install and connect hydraulic hoses or valves per all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Install and connect pneumatic hoses or valves per all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Install hardware as needed under all quality standards, work instructions, and work orders.
  • Observe and follow all posted, written, and verbally communicated safety standards and PPE requirements.
  • Perform all posted, written, and verbally communicated preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Perform all work following all posted, written, and verbally communicated time limits (cycle times)
  • Perform any posted, written, and verbally communicated cleaning functions of the work area, equipment, or facility
  • Perform simple repair and maintenance procedures for equipment or the facility
  • Sand and prep units for paint or touch-up painting.
  • Select/identify and locate components accurately and correctly according to all work orders or work instructions.
  • Using a jib crane, overhead crane, slings, fork truck, or manual lifting, move components/products into the proper position.
  • Work all assigned days, shifts, and overtime as required or scheduled.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure and read and comprehend work order specifications.
  • Basic mechanical and tools (wrench, screwdriver, drills, etc.) knowledge.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb onto chassis. Must be able to stand for 10 hours. Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
