The company is seeking an Ironworker to join its team for welding and fabrication works.

Work Experience

• Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field

Duties/Responsibilities

• Access challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper OSHA regulations.
• Build steel or iron structural pieces and components when working on lattice structures for high-voltage powerlines.
• Ensure proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces.
• Synthesize information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans, and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project.
• Transform metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques.
• Transport heavy metal pieces from the ground level to a higher location using tools like cranes or working with other team members to help position pieces correctly.
• Use details from written plans and supervisors’ instructions to securely bolt metal structures like beams and columns together.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in all types of weather and move/lift at least 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Pass pre-employment and other drug screening requirements
• Preference is given to those with valid CDL and Medical Card
