Job Profile

The company is searching for a Journeyman Electrician to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Education or equivalent (preferred)
  • Willing and able to take formal trade school courses as selected by ADM management and take such courses continuously

Work Experience

  • A current Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License is required and it must be maintained.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, budgeting, and implementation of electrically related facility projects
  • Diagnose and propose repair solutions for electrical power, electrical control, and process control equipment
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical systems and process control devices
  • Operate hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, wearing a respirator.
  • Basic Knowledge of electrical safety devices (breakers, fuses, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of process sensors/transmitters.
  • Candidates are required to complete a maintenance test consisting of technical aptitude, ability, and work habits.
  • Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a world-class safety culture; understand and follow company safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed.
  • Develop and maintain proper use, care, and safety skills of all hand, power, welding, and any other tools necessary for use in the course of this job.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
