Job Profile

The company is looking for a Journeyman Millwright who will install of machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • 5 plus years of documented field experience in craft discipline with the ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan, and perform work activities independently.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems
  • Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria
  • Operate machinery.
  • Perform a variety of duties, which may change often
  • Plan work and select the proper tools
  • Use logical step-by-step procedures at work
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings
  • Work at heights without fear
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy

Other Qualifications

  • Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs
  • Assembles and installs equipment, such as shaffing, conveyors, and tram rails, using cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools
  • Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervisors and employees
  • Be motivated and work safely and productively
  • Constructs foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement, and steel
  • Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools
  • Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • May install robot and modify its program using teach pendant
  • May operate engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
  • May use transit and level for equipment setting
  • Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks
  • Knowledge of optical and laser alignments
  • Performs lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, layout plans, vendor installation and operation manuals, and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required
  • Understand and respond accordingly to all safety alerts, warnings, hazards, etc.
  • Use effective verbal and written communication skills
