Job Profile
The company is seeking a Laser Operator who will learn to operate both CO2 and Fiber lasers.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Operate fork trucks to move materials from one area to another.
- Set up and operate CNC Lasers, including adjustments to the program.
- Support the safety and quality programs by following all accompanying rules and established processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
- Ability to convert metric to English and vice versa.
- Ability to operate sit-down fork truck.
- Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and bander.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
- Capable of setting up and operating one or more processing machines.
- Provide high-quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
- Speak, write, and comprehend conversational English.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20-60 lbs. repetitively throughout a shift.
- Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
- Ability to walk during a shift.
- Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
- Subject to environmental conditions that occur indoors and outdoors which include but are not limited to exposure to changing temperatures, loud noise, and vibration from the use of equipment
