Job Profile

The company is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician who will work independently and uses judgment to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and building systems.

Educational Qualification

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Attain ACT Work Keys Assessment at certified job profile skill level and complete minimum scoring requirements on the Ramsey test.

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or Technical school degree
  • Experience in the diagnostics and repair of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) or robotics
  • Working knowledge of drawing software such as AutoCAD

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
  • Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance Planner on a weekly basis to satisfy PM metrics and production demands.
  • Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Interact with Production Leaders and Managers to ensure prioritization and timely completion of breakdowns.
  • Lead daily Toolbox talks and training for the assigned shift.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other predictive maintenance actions.
  • Provide Maintenance Manager with daily recaps of shift tasks and issues.
  • Repairs machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools. Provides support for die maintenance and troubleshooting roll-forming equipment. Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Repairs machines, equipment, or building systems, using equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.
  • Train new employees on all duties, PMs, and work order tasks required of a Maintenance Technician.
  • Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Working knowledge of 120-440 volt electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, designing and fabricating parts
