The company is looking for a Lead Technician to join its team.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have completed a High School Education
  • Trade school specializing in machine tools or training certification in CNC-type machines or relevant equivalent military training.

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of heavy metal processing, plastic, or investment-casting manufacturing experience.

Other Work Experiences-

  • Dip-tank type parts clean line or surface treatment equipment is a plus.
  • Emergency power generator- testing and fuel management requirement is a plus.
  • Familiar with GE controllers such as FANUC and YASNAC or Allen-Bradley, Directlogic, and various PLC systems is a plus.
  • Familiar with HVAC equipment, wet scrubber, dust collection equipment, air compressor, and related plant facility equipment is a plus.
  • Familiar with waste neutralization operation, service, and equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of, motor, blower, dust collector, wet scrubber, air compressor & dryer, and piping systems, vacuum pump, heat-exchanger, boiler, chiller, water filtration systems (multimedia pretreatment, reverse osmosis, and deionization), and various mechanical systems
  • Knowledge or familiarity with BMS (building management system), or BAS (building automation system). Such as Siemens, Teletrol, Siemens Energy Management System, CMMS (computer-managed maintenance system), and fire alarm system is a plus.
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems and utility monitoring software is a plus.
  • Packaging machines such as blister type and heat sealer are a plus.
  • Repair of CNC type equipment such as EUROTECH, KITAMURA, OKUMA, KITAMURA, MATSURA, CHIRON, MAKINO, EDM (electrical discharge machine), and laser marker.
  • Working in an FDA-regulated facility is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of on-site connectivity of electrical power and testing related to utilities as requested by project managers.
  • Diagnostic of equipment malfunction, sourcing of spare/replacement parts for repair. Provide suggestions for improvement.
  • Knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) related to equipment function and installation.
  • Maintenance of dip tank type parts clean line or surface treatment equipment.
  • Maintenance of packaging equipment such as blister pack equipment and a heat sealer.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and CNC repairs as required. There is no distinction between electrical or mechanical mechanics other than the strength of their knowledge. The work assignment is interchangeable, depending on the strength of the specialty required.
  • Perform electronic and electrical systems inspections following established procedures or other written or verbal instructions.
  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems inspections following established standard operating procedures or other written or verbal instructions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and various troubleshooting and repair functions to sustain a 24/7 operation.
  • Perform some/selected functions of Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Repair or replace defective parts or equipment, utilizing manuals, drawings, specifications, and other written or verbal instructions.
  • Response to system failures in recovering or restoring electrical power system/machine operation.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain facility equipment including, but not limited to dust collectors, compressed air & dryer system, motors, pumps, HVAC and exhaust equipment, and control and wastewater neutralization systems.
  • Troubleshoot malfunction equipment including, but not limited to, CNC, EDM, and various robotic equipment; control for process heating/cooling equipment
  • Working knowledge of mechanical code such as ASME boiler code. Plumbing code, certain aspects of Building Code.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Able to read P&ID’s drawing, and loop sheets is a plus.
  • Able to use a ladder and high lift equipment.
  • Able to use or read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, logic diagrams (ISA),
  • Able to use various hand tools and instruments related to repair and troubleshooting. The instruments include, but are not limited to, multi-meters, resistivity/conductivity measurement instruments, pH meters, temperature measurement/transmitter and controls, electronic flow meters, pressure transmitters, measurement devices, etc.
  • Capable to communicate and interface with all levels of the workforce (associates and supervisory).
  • Computer skills related to PLC-controlled equipment, internet search, and MS Word or Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret and troubleshoot electrical/electronic circuits.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to interpret and troubleshoot pneumatic/hydraulic circuits.
  • Knowledge of the use of a wide variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of electrical inspection, motor, and motor controls, and variable speed control devices such as Danfos and Automation Direct.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and components.
  • Knowledge of heat exchanger/chiller, pump, fan, dust collection, boiler, HVAC air handler, etc.
  • Knowledge of industrial control theory and instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of mechanical operations and equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical theory and components.
  • Operation of the drill, mill, lathe, and be able to produce or fabricate simple machining parts or components. Knowledge of basic welding practices and techniques.
  • Proficiency in: electronic testing, process control (PID loops), process measurement, and control, programmable logic controllers, and uninterruptible power supply.

  • Ability to read, write, follow, and give oral instructions in English.
  • Ability to work in all shifts as required.
  • Being a self-starter, working without supervision, able to set up a work plan and material requirements, and coordinate with colleagues, contractors, and clients to carry out the work assigned.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to communicate with colleagues, clients, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Knowledge and experience with cutting tools and machine shop practice.
  • Knowledge of electrical or mechanical theory, components, codes, and practices equivalent to a trade electrical journeyman or mechanical journeyman or higher level.
  • Knowledge of PLC controls
  • Operates personal computer: MS Word or Excel.
