Job Profile
The company is looking for a Lincoln STA Launch Engineer who will source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery.
Contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.
Education Level
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering, or equivalent technical/manufacturing aptitude
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience in one or more, but not limited to the following manufacturing process.
- Experience leading multiple assignments with demanding timelines
- Manufacturing, maintenance, and quality operations experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Drive assessment and validation of manufacturing feasibility at identified supplier sites
- Execute the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Quality Planning Process (APQP)
- Implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure your suppliers exceed all corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty metrics, and vehicle delivery
- Lead on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions for emergency supplier situations
- Use available data, metrics, and business plans to drive future sourcing decisions ensuring improved future quality
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to develop and present materials to leadership on short notice
- Ability to lead resolution of manufacturing, quality, or capacity issues on-site with suppliers
- Ability to travel in the US, Canada, and Mexico approximately 75% of the time
- Casting, machining, forging, stamping, welding, plastic/rubber molding, brazing, sintering, automated/manual assembly processes, controls automation programming, paint, chroming, SMC,
