Job Profile

The company is hiring a Machine Operator who will operate an assembly machine/station, perform required pre-shift production, quality, and safety checklist, and ensure production quota is met consistently each shift.

Educational Qualification

  • No education level is mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum 3 months of manufacturing experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Complete all production and quality documentation in an accurate and timely manner on a daily basis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, and safety requirement
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained at all times at the work cell and follow the 5S process
  • Ensure that only quality parts are passed on to the next operation
  • Ensure that the production quota is met on each shift
  • Follow work instructions/directions as required by Supervisor
  • Operating a machine/welding cell and or assembly line and performing other duties according to specific job instructions provided
  • Perform first off and safety check at the start of each shift and conduct process checks as required throughout the shift, and perform last off
  • Update the production line sideboard as required
  • Work in a safe manner, obeying all health and safety regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to Supervision or the Joint Health and Safety Committee

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to maintain records in an organized and tidy manner
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a Team Player
  • Ability to work on different shifts as required
  • Basic understanding of English (oral and written)
  • Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition
  • Excellent attendance
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Must be physically capable of performing the work required
  • Must be willing to perform tasks that are of a reasonable request by the Supervisor
  • Support Quality System, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System requirements

Working Environment

  • 100% plant floor (PPE required)

Physical Demands

  • Lifting and pushing as needed, up to 20 lbs.
  • Require communication with employees, peers, and management

Safety Instructions

  • Prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes, or forklifts.
  • Must follow all LOTO procedures
  • Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices, or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies, and procedures
