The company is searching for a Machine Operator to join its team.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED combined with or 1 to 3 months of related experience or training
• An equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Accurately measures and checks parts for compliance
• Actively monitors the condition of the product being produced
• Ensures adequate supply of component stock is at station to run machines
• Fills out production reports and labels products as needed
• Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist in assembly, forming, fitting, and welding
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock and work in process
• Picks up, and cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment after use

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to vibration.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to walk and climb or balance.
