Work Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operating/welding fabrication shop, metals shop, using heavy power tools to cut press, drill, basic welding, fabrication, light industrial, industrial, CNC, melt shop, machining, overhead cranes, driving/operating medium to heavy equipment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Form or cut materials into predesignated shapes and sizes, working with sheet metal, various structural materials, forming, drilling, seaming
- Make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence
- Operate overhead cranes to move materials safely
- Troubleshoot equipment and make basic adjustments, following all OSHA pre-checks and inspections
- Work with various heavy machinery, power hand tools, and equipment
- Other job duties as assigned
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to proficiently read blueprints and verify dimensional requirements
- Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance
- Ability to stand throughout the day, climb on/off equipment, and lift materials more than 50 pounds regularly
