Job Profile

The company is searching for a Machine Operator who will operate can manufacturing equipment and ancillary equipment in the factory.

The Operator will perform various jobs associated with manufacturing such as packing, taping, stapling, welding, inspecting, and other various jobs as deemed necessary by management.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • The candidates should have 1 to 3 months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Arrange machine at the beginning of shift to ensure that the line is in order
  • Comply with GMP and AIB procedures
  • Follow Company personnel and product safety requirements including standards such as those from SQF and internal GMPs
  • Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with State and Federal laws
  • Identify and correct manufacturing issues which affect production efficiency and quality
  • Independently operate manufacturing equipment in an efficient and safe manner while meeting required quality standards
  • Inspect and pack manufactured products in an efficient manner with regards to quality standards
  • Meet customer requirements by following work instructions including work orders, specification sheets, and production reporting
  • Perform basic manufacturing processes by operating contingent line equipment such as tapers, printers, strappers, and cover-ups
  • Perform minor maintenance including greasing and oiling
  • Recognize problems and recommend corrective actions to mechanics
  • Set up machines with needed materials. Load and unload materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, or conveyors
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Language Skills-

  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to read, print, and speak simple sentences. The second language is a positive additional skill.

Mathematical Skills-

  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Reasoning Ability-

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Others-

  • Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instruction in English. The second language is a positive additional skill.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk and hear.
  • Sometimes required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and smell.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
