Job Profile

The company is seeking a Machine Operator who will operate and maintain large machinery used in construction, mining, or other industrial projects.

Collaborate with various users and operators to understand the mining process and gather their requirements for operating heavy machinery.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Be able to operate a front-end loader/skid steer
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations
• Grease and inspect the plant
• Grease equipment in all areas of production
• Keep the tail pulley and catwalk clean on the stockpile belts
• Keep water pumped running to maintain fresh water to the plant
• Maintain the scales clean
• Perform all necessary work area inspections and document discrepancies. This includes any heavy equipment checklists/inspections
• Perform all tasks in a safe manner, which includes wearing proper personal protective equipment and following safety regulations established by this company
• Perform tasks assigned in a safe and effective manner
• Perform other duties as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ensure quality control and product accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Operate and monitor machinery efficiently and safely
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
• Read blueprints, schematics, or work orders

Work Environment

• Ability to operate front-end loader/bobcat
• On-the-job training
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Remove logs from the cooler
• Stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required, and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
• May require periods of work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
