Job Profile

The company is searching for a Machine Operator/CNC Machinist who will perform a variety of tasks including the following setting up and operating equipment for machining and inspections, operating hand tools, and other related general manufacturing work.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machine operator or production/manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in relatable machinery operations
  • 3+ years of experience operating mobile equipment
  • 3+ years of experience using hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to use inspection gages and instruments
  • CNC machining experience
  • Machinist certification preferred
  • Setup machinery for operation by self or others

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Checks parts with standard gauges or precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, depth micrometers, and dial indicator) and submits parts for inspection as required
  • Evaluate, inspect, and document the condition of dies and die components and log the status of the job
  • General understanding of G-code to perform common machining operations
  • Keeps work area clean, safe, and in an orderly fashion daily
  • Learn to set up and operate any new machinery added to the departments to which assigned
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and raise any concerns to the appropriate leaders
  • Performs all operations in a timely manner and identifies improvement opportunities
  • Reads blueprints and understands general GD&T principles
  • Requires overtime on Fridays as needed and directed by operations
  • Sets up and operates any standard and specialized machines to perform necessary operations in departments to which assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Subject to reemployment contingencies: drug test, physical, and background check
  • Understand the speeds and feeds pertaining to various machines Communicate effectively with engineering and coordinators
  • Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles
  • Performs other tasks as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Must be able to work Night Shift
  • Ability to read and interpret product prints

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions.
  • Ability to use computers.
  • Continuously required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Continuously required to wear common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, and Hard Hats.
  • The ability to keep or regain balance or remain upright when walking on varying surfaces.
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements with the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, place, or assemble.
  • The ability to raise/lower an object with control by reaching near the floor, knee, waist, or chest levels.
