Job Profile

The company is searching for a Machine Operator (Saw) who will operate fabricating machines such as saws, and rollers that cut, shape, and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, and structures.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor.
• Follows company policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Measures workpiece dimensions to determine the accuracy of machine operation.
• Must be able to perform saw machine operations.
• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Positions work piece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade.
• Pushes the button or depresses the pedal to activate the machine.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from the workpiece.
• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Source/identify material required for the work order.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Accuracy and attention to detail are required.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Capable of operating material handlers, such as a forklift.
• Capable of reading micrometers and calipers.
• Capable of standing/bending/crouching for a 10-hour shift
