Job Profile
The company is hiring a Machine Operator Team Lead who will be responsible for directly supervising the cutting (machine operating) crew at the site level.
This position will report directly to the Shop Supervisor and will carry out the tasks and directions given to them by senior site leadership.
This position will approve timecards, approve requests for time off of work, will recommend disciplinary action when appropriate, and will conduct performance evaluations.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants may be required a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess 2 years of previous supervisory experience (highly preferred)
- 3+ years of machine operating, welding, and material handling experience (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicate with team members verbally and non-verbally
- Directly supervise designated employees
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements
- Operate CNC machinery at a highly skilled and knowledgeable level
- Perform/assist with employee performance evaluations for areas of responsibility
- Prompt and dependable attendance
- Train and assist assigned employees
- Troubleshoot machinery and train employees on machinery
- Verify employee timecard
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
- Work efficiently in all forms of weather (wind, heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Other duties as assigned
