The company is searching for a Machine Repair Mechanic A to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a CNC machine repair mechanic, manufacturing building systems mechanic, or general equipment repair mechanic, ( IE Pump repairs, ship repairs, large farming equipment or military equipment).
  • 3+ years of experience reading engineering blueprints and drawings.
  • Experience testing and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical components, and test equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a CNC machine repair mechanic, manufacturing building systems mechanic, or general equipment repair mechanic, (IE Pump repairs, ship repairs, large farming equipment or military equipment).
  • 5+ years of experience reading engineering blueprints and drawings.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Check and adjust flatness, level/alignment of machine beds, linear and rotary axis tools, and pallet changers.
  • Communicate accurately, concisely, and professionally with your customer regarding important repair steps taken, parts ordered, and estimated time until completion.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and sequence work including ordering required parts and staging necessary tools and equipment.
  • Determine or develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available and devise and make tools/equipment to facilitate work.
  • Obtain and analyze drawings, sketches, hydraulic schematics, and specifications needed to perform assigned work.
  • Obtain job assignments from data systems, management, or designee.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections.
  • Perform/observe operational checks to ensure the problem has been corrected.
  • Repair and or replace defective equipment, overhaul, rebuild, and assemble a wide variety of plant equipment, including numerically controlled machines, Robotics and end effectors, modular assembly equipment, precision-built machines, material handling equipment, and stationary generator sets and process equipment.
  • Repair critical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as mechanical hardware upgrades.
  • Review work orders, tie-ins, technical manuals, and machine operations and communicate with production employees to determine appropriate crafts skills and repairs needed to return machines to production readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions on all types of factory machinery including, N/C and CNC machine tools and controllers, gearboxes, stationary generator sets, and machine accessories, using various types of test equipment.
