Job Profile

The company is hiring a Machine Repairer who will be responsible for repairing and maintaining production equipment, including, but not limited to, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems.

Works closely with production personnel, maintenance team members, and supervision to address equipment issues.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • Journeyperson card in Industrial Maintenance or 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance preferably with CNC machining equipment and mechanical systems.
  • CNC Machining Equipment fixing and repair
  • Experience working with Mechanical, Welding, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems.
  • Experience working in a CMMS environment. Maintenance Connection preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in training and maintenance preparation.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team/supervision to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Complete maintenance-related documentation including updating/closing work orders, and submitting required part numbers for ordering replacements.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance activities on production equipment and systems according to established schedules.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform equipment reviews and inspections to locate causes of malfunctions.
  • Realign and adjust machine components and systems such as spindles and clutches.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions per work order priority.
  • Tackle equipment issues and perform vital repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Uses lifting equipment safely (forklifts, hoists) when performing equipment repairs.
  • Uses power tools such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders, to repair or fabricate equipment parts.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
  • Must be organized and able to work with little supervision.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
