Job Profile
The company is searching for a Machining Engineer (CNC Programmer) who will create and refine CNC programs and setups for new machining centers.
Responsible for the training of current and existing personnel in best practices and standardization across multiple facilities.
Provides expert input to resolve design issues and innovate solutions.
Education Level
- Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- 3+ years of machine programming and setup
- 4+ years of experience in related technical areas (required)
- Experience and knowledge of Fanuc CNC’s (preferred)
- Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes (required)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new CNC machines, programs, tooling, and fixturing.
- Develop, sustain, and streamline the complete Machining process to support operations and product improvements.
- Lead improvement activities within areas related to machining, including providing technical support to production personnel during the introduction of new or revised production operations.
- May include some responsibilities for thermal processing operations.
- Oversee and implement procedures, specifications, and applications for new and existing machining operations throughout MAC Trailer, Enterprises, Inc., and subsidiaries.
- Oversee the selection of materials, components, and equipment related to machining.
- Oversee the design, fabrication, sourcing, and procurement of, and not limited to, Machining Centers, fixtures, jigs, gauges, cutting tools, carts, and racks, to support Operations, related to MAC processes.
- Performs feasibility studies on proposed tooling concepts to determine manufacturability, cost, and cycle time impact on the production process.
- Work with shop floor personnel and manufacturing staff to develop new tooling concepts and improvements.

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including being physically capable of maneuvering self throughout, the work area, product, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including being physically capable of maneuvering and manipulating tooling and machinery during all aspects of the tooling and machining life cycle.
