Job Profile

The company is looking for a Machinist who will be responsible for operating machinery for specific projects with limited supervisory.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • 2+ years of machining experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe or mill), or numerical control (NC) or CNC programs and machining centers
  • Fabricating metallic and non-metallic parts that hold to the high-quality machine standards required within the organization.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusting machine controls as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to travel up to 30% and work shift work when needed
  • Have good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style, and ability to effectively communicate
  • Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, drill presses, vertical and horizontal mills (floor model)
  • Must demonstrate intermediate skill level (indicate part, turn ODs, and qualify ID and OD) on at least two machines; CNC mill, CNC lathe, and NC (figure feed rates), manual mill, brouch, drill press, rework lathe/press lathe.
