Job Profile
The company is hiring a Machinist to join its team.
Education Level
- GCE ’O’ Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines
Work Experience
- Relevant aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- (CNC, Lathe Machining, Grinding, Milling, EDM, etc).
- Attend EH&S training programs and take personal responsibility to ensure safety adherence.
- Cross-train to support the repair and overhaul of the aero-engine components by benching, blasting, blending, polishing, or using other required mechanical skills.
- Follow procedures and guidelines to meet operational requirements and quality standards.
- Participate in audits and inspections as and when required.
- Assess the risk of the activities and take corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform machining operations to repair aircraft engine components and meet quality standards
- Perform programming and troubleshooting as required by the engineer.
- Perform total productive maintenance (TPM) on machines.
- Report any incidents, hazardous conditions, and emergencies to the supervisor.
- Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer-Oriented Results and Excellence) activities.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A curious and learning mindset – we provide on-the-job training and certifications.
- Ability to understand basic technical instructions and standard operation procedures (SOP).
- Basic oral and written English language skills.
- Comfortable with hands-on work to operate with equipment, tools, and machines.
- Relevant CNC 3-axis, 5-axis, or conventional machining experience or keen interest to learn machining operations.
- Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day and Night) and overtime on a need basis.
