Job Profile
The company is seeking a Machinist who will perform rebuild and repair machining work as required.
Set up large parts for salvage operations and projects.
Repair or rebuild worn and failed parts requiring welding reconstruction or machining.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Minimum of 6 months of related experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to set up machines and run the machining job.
- Metal spray or HVC processes as required.
- Perform the reborning, rebuilding, resurfacing, magnafluxing, and grinding as needed.
- Prepare service reports.
- Plan and control the cost of repair jobs.
- Machined parts are within specified tolerances.
- Maintain company equipment – keep it in good clean orderly condition.
- Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
Additional Responsibilities-
- Maintain quality work standards.
- Set up and operate equipment as required.
- Comprehend and interpret sketches and diagrams
- Operate stripping and finishing machines
- Keep records, provide data, and submit reports
- Weld structural components as needed.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Travel to remote locations as needed.
- Work within and promote corporate values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
- Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy.
- Extensive prior experience in welding and machining.
- In-depth knowledge of general machining equipment.
- Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
- Previous experience in thermal spray or lathe.
- Current driver’s license.
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.
- Frequently is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop and kneel.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- May be required to operate a forklift with appropriate certification(s).

Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
