Job Profile

The company is seeking a Machinist who will be responsible for operating and maintaining advanced machining equipment to produce high-quality aerospace parts and components.

Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure that all machining tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Requires a high level of expertise and experience in aerospace machining operations, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

Education Level

Diploma from a technical high school or equivalent (required)

Work Experience

Minimum 2 years of related experience (required)
Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

Ability to manufacture tools, fixtures, and parts from a blueprint.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery.
Follow written work instructions, able to understand assembly blueprints, tooling blueprints, and build procedures.
Identify and resolve issues with processes that can lead to continued improvements.
Inspect finished aerospace parts to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining processes and reduce waste.
Provide training and mentorship to junior machinists and other team members.
Set up and operate various types of machining equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machines, band saws, and drill presses.
Work closely with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Advanced mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills
Competence and expertise in machine safety and guarding
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing techniques

Work Environment

Must be able to lift 35 pounds
