Job Profile

The company is searching for a Machinist A (Jig Grind) who will produce quality products using machining skills.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

• CNC, HMC, Lathe, grinding machining experience (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Read and work on drawings, setup cards, charts, and tables with or without job tag instructions.
• Be able to operate hoist-operated cranes and other lifting equipment.
• Select all types of cutting tools suitable for working on all kinds of materials and all types of cuts; properly grind cutting tools.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Use of mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables; various types of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret basic technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds.
• Rarely may lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
