Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Assistant who will maintain, modify, and repair machinery and equipment as schedule requires or as directed by the team lead.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 4-8 years of experience in building and equipment maintenance
- Any combination of education, training, and experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complies with and enforces all company policies and procedures.
- Ensures consistent and maximum throughput while maintaining quality.
- Ensures that product loss and scrap are kept to a minimum.
- Keeps plant fabrication/tool area in ‘tour-ready’ condition at all times.
- Maintain machinery, equipment, and fixtures.
- Maintains open communication with team lead to ensure project schedules are met.
- Notifies team lead of supply inventories and material needs.
- Operate maintenance equipment, machines, and tools.
- Primary functions are to perform PMs and assist with maintenance projects.
- Review maintenance/repair schedule to determine material requirements.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Knowledge of-
- Manufacturing and building systems, machines, and equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as drawings, prints, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have a high level of mechanical understanding.
- Will work in all aspects of maintenance-electric, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic controls.
Skill in-
- Maintenance Tools – Including but not limited to a welder, mill, press, shear, drills, lathe, and hand tools.
- Operating a forklift.
- Use of measuring devices such as caliper and micrometer.
