Job Profile

The company is hiring a Maintenance Associate to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
• An Associate’s Degree is preferred

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 3+ years of technician experience within the Plastics industry.
• Basic mechanical knowledge, 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Welding experience, ability to use measuring devices, forklift operator experience, and knowledge of pneumatics and vacuum.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists maintenance/production staff as needed.
• Be flexible with your schedule as needed.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment-related processing issues.
• Follows all Company established rules and policies.
• May assist in the training of other employees.
• Must have a strong electrical background. PLC, (Allen Bradley preferred), VFD, 120 to 480 Low Voltage experience.
• Perform Maintenance Connection day-by-day duties.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.
• Performs maintenance, set-up, and PM on automation/production equipment
• Performs quality work within reasonable time standards set forth by management in verbal or written instructions.
• Responsible for ensuring area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean, and tidy.
• Utilizes a computer-based inventory system for generating reports to locate spare parts.
• Utilizes mandatory safety equipment. Executes duties in a safe and efficient manner. Adheres to all safety rules and regulations
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Analytical, problem solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming.
• Light welding repairs.
• Maintain 5S program.
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly PM’s on all thermoforming equipment.
• Perform light electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform material movement and facility utility piping.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
• Rebuild formers; trim presses, gearboxes, fluid pumps, and grinders.
• Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, and innovation.
• Support plant product food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives.
• Troubleshoot and repair all thermoforming and support equipment.
• Work off the maintenance management system.
• Highly organized, problem solver, strong written and verbal communication skills, able to handle multiple tasks, and a strong sense of urgency.
