Duties/Responsibilities

• Build, install, and maintain buildings, machinery, and equipment except for dies and fixtures.
• Perform various skills of the trade, diagnoses, corrects, repairs, or replaces necessary parts. In the galvanizing department the painting, replacement of hooks on racks, greasing, and occasional replacement of castings on lines which are in production are done by employees of that department.
• Handle major inspections and repair of plater conveyors involving overtime work,

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Able to perform general plumbing (air and oil lines)
• Efficient in ARC, MIG, and TIG welding
• General machining (lathe, mill, etc.) a plus
• General rigging
• General working knowledge to read and understand software programs is a plus
• Must be able to fabricate guards, chutes, (sheet metal)
• Must supply own hand tools
• Read and understand calipers and mic
• Understand, and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
