Job Profile
The company is hiring a Maintenance Electrician to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical School or Apprenticeship training (a plus but not required)
- Documented on the Job training (a plus but not required)
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage (up to 480V) systems.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and take direction from Supervisor.
- Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment and powered and non-powered tools.
- Review and initiate continuous improvement projects.
- Self-starter, motivated, trustworthy and dependable.
- Understanding and compliance with Lock Out Tag Out procedures and safe practices.
- Willingness to continually learn and participate in continued education when offered.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and correctly repair facilities and associated equipment on time.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and correctly repair production line equipment on time.
- Capable of reading blueprints, manuals, schematic drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Computer literacy.
Work Environment
- Office environment – includes, but is not limited to, artificial lighting, computers, telephones, desks, temperature controlled.
- Manufacturing environment – includes, but is not limited to, artificial lighting, machine/equipment noise, some welding exhaust, metal working fluid mist, non-controlled temperatures, and PPE (required)
Physical Demands
- Ability to move about the plant in both the office and manufacturing areas.
- Ability to sit for short periods to complete required reports.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to walk for long periods.
- Manual dexterity for computer work.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
