Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance III who will be responsible for setting up, retooling, and maintaining metal fabrication equipment.

Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of complex production equipment, tools, facilities, and vehicles as required.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants require a High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Require 5 to 8 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to the attention of management
  • Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork (including but not limited to checklists, stamping, blueprints, barcoding, and shipping/receiving materials)
  • Fabricate complex production/facility systems using welding, milling, plumbing, and pipefitting
  • Load, unload, lift, and move parts and equipment in preparation for inspection, maintenance, or service using powered industrial trucks and overhead lifting equipment as required
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
  • Operate hand tools (including but not limited to electrical and pneumatic powered tools)
  • Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Manitowoc Code of Conduct requirements
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility as required
  • Read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals to determine appropriate maintenance/repair needs
  • Repair/install complex electrical and mechanical systems such as hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, tools, and automated/numerically controlled plant equipment such as programmable logic controllers
  • Troubleshoot production equipment, powered industrial trucks, hoists, tools, and company vehicles to determine maintenance and service requirements

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required equipment/tools/powered industrial trucks
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and measuring devices
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to visually inspect the product
  • Advanced comprehension and math skills
  • Basic ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and required power industrial truck certifications
  • Manual dexterity in hands for tool usage
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Work Conditions

  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch
  • Ability to climb and balance
  • Ability to use hands to reach and handle or feel
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work over 40 hours as required
  • Lift and carry up to 35 lbs. alone and over 35 lbs. with assistance
  • Stand and walk on concrete up to 100% of a work day
  • Work in non-temperature-controlled environments
