Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Machinist who will provide maintenance support for production activities to reduce any production losses due to equipment or system failures.

The position will also support work requests from all other non-manufacturing areas of the facility under the direction of the maintenance leader, maintenance manager, and production supervisor.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (preferred, not required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Complete necessary paperwork
  • Comply with all environmental rules, policies, and practices
  • Construct and repair uncomplicated jigs
  • Follow and comply with all safety rules and practices
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, instructions, and standards
  • Lift and move tools, parts, material
  • Maintain various tools
  • Operate computer to perform daily job functions
  • Operate lifting equipment
  • Operate metal and wood fabrication machinery
  • Operate various electronic/mechanical equipment
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs to buildings and equipment
  • Perform occasional minor repairs
  • Properly handle and dispose of all waste materials (hazardous and non-hazardous)
  • Read and use measuring equipment
  • Use hand tools and power tools
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift and move tools, parts, and material
  • Ability to operate scissors lift
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to perform job functions in a safe manner
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings, instructions, standards
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, and various electronic/mechanical equipment
  • Ability to weld
  • Construct and repair uncomplicated fixtures
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs to buildings and equipment
  • Successfully complete all training required by the safety/training matrix within 6 months, or within time constraints set by governmental regulations

Work Conditions

  • Must be agile and flexible for working in tightly confined areas when repairs are required
  • Must be physically fit and has the ability to do strenuous labor for an 8-hour period in warm humid conditions
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, by company policy, for the job being performed
  • Must be able to work from heights for extended periods of time
