Job Profile

The company is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for safely performing maintenance on Production Equipment within the facility. This role includes preventative, reactive, routine, and non-routine Maintenance.

Education Level

Having one of the following in a mechanical craft discipline (a plus)

  • Trade School Certificate
  • An Associate’s degree in a mechanical field
  • Military Maintenance at a School
  • Union/Company Apprenticeship

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of current and continuous industrial mechanic or millwright experience, preferably in the high-speed packaging industry.
  • Experience with high-speed packaging and rotating equipment
  • Welding and using a torch are a plus.

License/Certification

  • Possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Communicate verbally and in writing to operations employees, supervisors, and others about identifying problems and completing jobs in their area.
  • Comply with all HSSE regulations, policies, standards, practices, and actively participate in improving plant safety culture.
  • Identify and implement equipment improvements to increase plant reliability.
  • Operate tools and machinery to perform assigned work.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work as assigned. The bulk of this work will be on the assigned High Speed Packaging equipment.
  • Read and comprehend drawings, including, but not limited to, plant layout, P&ID, and equipment drawings.
  • Understand equipment general arrangement drawings and their uses.
  • Use a computer in daily routine, including data entry into a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Work in a lubricants manufacturing environment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders
  • Install and remove equipment
  • Operating a forklift is a plus
  • Read Drawings
  • Take Field measurements
  • Use Hand Tools
  • Work off JLG and Scissor lifts

Work Environment

  • Willing to climb ladders, and scaffolding, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation
  • Willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation
  • Willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation
  • Willing to work overtime
