Job Profile

The company is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for proactively maintaining the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Proactively utilize approved preventive maintenance procedures.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in Equipment Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance Procedures.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience in Industrial Manufacturing is a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the control of machine downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
• Audit all parts of the production lines based on the assigned schedule.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment on the production lines for minimal downtime.
• Enter completed, detailed work order information into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Participate and support, for every employee, a safe work environment by following all facility safety and compliance policies and procedures.
• Participate and support, for every employee, and visitor; the adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.
• Recommend any changes and improvements that will support the safe operation of equipment and machinery.
• Required to assist in the appropriate usage of maintenance resources. To include equipment and supplies needed to complete the job assigned.
• Responsible for determining changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and repair activities follow OSHA, Federal, Local, and plant safety standards.
• Responsible for reporting on possible causes(s) of failure. Conduct, participation, and request a subsequent investigation to determine/define the cause(s) of failure.
• Responsible for the removal of defective parts through the safe dismantling of devices. Utilizing hoists, lifts, forklifts, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.
• Will assist in the determination of the effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines and schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Basic understanding of Safety procedures.
• Critical decision-making ability.
• Experience with Power Tools.
• Flexibility and adaptability, and the ability to focus and pay attention to detail.
• Technical understanding, ability, and patience to deal with uncertainty.
